St. Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology

Dear Reader,

Words have power. They are the means by which human beings can most uniquely participate in the creativity of God. But wordscan also be used by our most vicious and fallen attributes to tear down the unity and peace meant to be a part of our lives.

At St. Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology, we are formed in ways that seek to align us with the former, and not the latter. Here, we are enabled to learn how to synthesize our words with those of Christ and his Church, making ourselves truly “one flock and one Shepherd.” (John 10:16). God willing, we realize that by conforming our words to Christ, they become the very Word Himself.

My hope for you is that you will see this website as an instrument of learning, growth, and engagement with that which enlivens the generative elements of our souls. Take a few moments to read the passages of seminarians, faculty, formators, and above all, fellow human beings. They wish to share with you a personal, indeed, an intimately real element of who they are. Let their words evangelize you in ways that free you from the fetters of the mundane; that empower you to overcome the skepticism of our fallen nature. Let God speak to you here, in this place and with these words. He will not disappoint you.

Prayers, and best regards,
Aaron Foshee
